Who we are

Digital Two is a trading name of Leon Neal (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

Based in Leyland, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Email: hello@digitaltwo.co.uk
Phone: 07557 071852

What we collect

  • Enquiries: when you fill in a form, email or call us, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address and anything you tell us about your business.
  • Customers: if you become a customer, we also hold your billing details, the content you give us for your website, and a record of our dealings with you. Payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full bank or card details.
  • Website visits: our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and working. We also count visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare your website: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • To provide our service and take payment: performance of our contract with you.
  • To keep business and tax records: legal obligation.
  • To keep our website secure: our legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
  • To contact other businesses about our services: our legitimate interest in growing our business. You can opt out at any time and we will not contact you again.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the suppliers we need to run the business, who act on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare (website hosting, security and domain services)
  • Web3Forms (delivers our website enquiry form to our inbox)
  • Our email provider
  • Our payment provider (GoCardless or Stripe) for collecting monthly payments
  • Domain registrars, where we register a domain name on your behalf
  • Our accountant and HMRC, where required

Some of these suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become customers: up to 12 months.
  • Customer records and invoices: 6 years after the end of our contract, as required for tax purposes.
  • Website content you gave us: deleted within 90 days of your site being taken offline, unless you buy the site.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it if it’s wrong;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • ask us to stop or limit how we use it;
  • object to us using it, including for direct marketing;
  • ask us to pass it to another provider.

To use any of these rights, email hello@digitaltwo.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
