1. Your phone number at the top
On every page, and tappable on a phone. Someone with a leak doesn’t want to scroll.
2. What you do, in plain words
List your services clearly. “Boiler repairs, bathroom fitting, leaks and blocked drains” beats “complete plumbing solutions” every time.
3. Where you work
Name the towns and areas you cover. Customers want to know you’ll come to them, and it helps search engines match you to local searches.
4. Photos of real jobs
Your own work, not stock photos. Before-and-after pictures are the most convincing thing you can show. Phone photos in good daylight are fine.
5. Reviews
A few genuine comments from real customers build more trust than anything you could say about yourself.
6. Proof you’re legitimate
Qualifications, registrations, insurance and trade memberships you actually hold. They reassure people who’ve never used you before.
7. An easy way to get a quote
A short form for people who’d rather not call, or who are looking you up at eleven at night. Keep it to a handful of questions.
And one thing it must do: work on a phone
Most people will find you on their mobile. If your site is slow or fiddly on a small screen, they’ll go back and pick the next name on the list.
Every site we build covers all of this as standard. See how we approach it for your trade on our industries page.
